ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS
In FY2014, HG Metal donated to UOB Heartbeat
Run/Walk 2014 hosted by National Council of Social
Service, Jurong Central Residents/Committee Fund
Rising Dinner and an annual charity event organized
by Thye Hua Kwan which aims to fund more than
70 programmes and help over 44,000 beneficiaries
with the money raised. In additions, the Group also
contributed to the Singapore Children’s Society “Walk
for Our Children 2014”, Singapore Heart Foundation
“National Heart Week/World Heart Day – Heart Fair
2014” and The Singapore Association for the Deaf
“SADeaf Flag Day 2014”.
Environmental sustainability is an issue businesses
must consider and we do our utmost to ensure that
our operations do not harm the environment.
Our core product, steel, is very environmentally friendly
and its great durability enables it to be reused. Steel
can also be 100% recycled infinitely with no loss of
quality. This recyclability is further enhanced by steel’s
magnetic properties, which allows it to be easily
extracted from waste.

We are committed to conducting our business in
a way that is eco-friendly and helps to conserve the
environment. Besides reusing and recycling remnant
steel from our operations, we also encourage our
people to minimise carbon footprint by conserving
energy usage, consume water resources responsibly
and refrain from water wastage.
INVESTOR RELATIONS
The ultimate goal of investor relations is to provide
stakeholders with accurate information, so that they
can make educated investment decisions.
We see the importance of maintaining open, two-
way channels of communication, in order to paint an
accurate equity story and manage the expectations
of the financial community. Through multiple avenues
like emails, phone calls, meetings and email alerts
via our corporate website, we strive to fulfil our
responsibility and deliver information to the market in
a timely manner. Another key mode of engaging the
investment community is the annual general meeting,
where shareholders can raise queries and interact with
the management and board of directors.
